I’m willing to wander till after I’m ill,
I’m willing to ponder the feeling within,
The Cancer controls me – it never gives in
The Cancer that causes my soul to feel ill.
The Cancer that never gives time to recall,
The Cancer that hurts me whenever I fall.
This Cancer is writing the words on the wall,
I’m willing to fight but never to crawl.

One has often heard the term Melanoma, especially since John Mcain ran for president and the issue of Skin Cancer and Melanoma kept cropping up. John McCain is a survivor of many things and one is Melanoma, a form of cancer that begins with Melanocytes(Cell that make pigment Melanin). It sometimes, but not always begins as a Mole – skin Melanoma – but can also start in other pigmented areas. There are over 60,000 new cases of Melanoma each year in the USA - with about 8,400 deaths. Cancer is the enemy,
Cancer is no friend,
Cancer, Cancer smiles at me,
But it really wants my end,
Cancer came behind my back,
Reminding my of life,
Cancer is my enemy,
It fills my days with strife,
Cancer has to be annulled,
Cancer always lies.
Cancer, Cancer – stay away,
Your existence needs to die.

DAFFODILS WITH INFORMATION ON BREAST CANCER
I love this poem, it always gives me a sense of ease.
I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.
Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the milky way,
They stretched in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.
The waves beside them danced, but they
Out-did the sparkling leaves in glee;
A poet could not be but gay,
In such a jocund company!
I gazed—and gazed—but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:
For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.

CANCER POETRY
I was sitting beside you bed,
For days on end,
Watching you fade away,
To another place and time,
Where we will be separated,
Possibly forever,
And I will never talk to you again,
Or make cheesecake with you,
The fire is going out,
Every moment could be the last,
There is a dark sky outside,
No lights in or out,
I chat with Cancer,
As I drink a sour cup of coffee,
I dream about my childhood,
I wish I could have you back,
But you are never coming back,
And now I must move forward in love,
Because it was you who gave me life.

CANCER MAKES ME MAD - HOSPITALS MAKE ME SICK
If I see another ward.
It will make me sick.
If I see another Doctor,
It will make me sicker.
If I see another hospital dinner,
It will make me hungry.
If I feel another needle,
It will make me mad,
Cancer makes me mad,
Hospitals make me sicker.
If I don’t see home soon,
I might never see it.
One of the best blogs around is one called Cancer-Sucks-Ass - a blog about a young woman suffering from stag 4 Colon Cancer. It is an amazing blog on how to live with Cancer and still remain happy. Cancer treatment and therapy can be very difficult, both on family, friends and on the patient. Its good to see a blog like this. There are funny videos and real write-ups from someone who is living through Cancer and keeping positive.

CANCER CANNOT CONTROL ME - NATIONAL CANCER INSTITUTE INFORMATION
Cancer cannot control me,
Cancer cannot kill me,
Cancer will not take me from my loved ones.
I am stronger than Cancer.
It has no right to make me Sad,
It has no right to make me cry
Cancer cannot control me,
I am stronger than Cancer.
I am made of flesh and bones,
I am God’s and God’s alone,
Cancer cannot call me home.
I am stronger than Cancer.

CANCER INFO FROM THE NATIONAL CANCER INSTITUTE
BLADDER CANCER
Cancer that forms in tissues of the bladder (the organ that stores urine). Most bladder cancers are transitional cell carcinomas (cancer that begins in cells that normally make up the inner lining of the bladder). Other types include squamous cell carcinoma (cancer that begins in thin, flat cells) and adenocarcinoma (cancer that begins in cells that make and release mucus and other fluids). The cells that form squamous cell carcinoma and adenocarcinoma develop in the inner lining of the bladder as a result of chronic irritation and inflammation.
